Passing the time on your next RV road trip can be a lot more fun with some planning. Maybe you have played these games on family trips in your youth, or they might be unfamiliar to you. Without a doubt, these road trip games are a surefire way to occupy everyone on your next RV trip. Check out the games below, but don't forget to visit us at Sunny Island RV in Rockford, Illinois. Our team will be happy to share more ideas with customers from Naperville and Chicago, Illinois.

Counting Cows

This game is ideal if you are driving along scenic country highways. Everyone sitting on one side of the RV counts cows that they see, and they compare their count to the other side at the end. To make it more fun, you can include special rules. For example, if you pass a red barn, double the number of total cows. Try using another animal if cows are not abundant on your road trip.

I Spy

You cannot go wrong on an RV trip with I Spy. This game is fun for any age, plus it is easy. One person will begin by choosing something they see to describe. Every other player gets to guess until the object is named.

Categories

One player will pick a category, such as fruits, sports, or cities. They get to name the first item in the category. The game proceeds to the next player, who must name something else in the category that starts with the last letter of the first player's item. For example, you could say 'Banana' for fruits. The next player could say 'Apple' or 'Apricot.'

License Plate Game

Everyone can play this game the entire time you are away. Print out a list of the 50 states before you head out. Everyone on the RV can get one. See who can cross off the most license plates by the end of the trip.

Where Am I?

This game can be a fun way to reminisce about other times spent on the RV. Each player gets a turn to describe a place that everyone has visited before. Everyone else may ask yes or no questions until they can guess the location in mind.

Explain a Plot Badly

This game works well for movie and book lovers. Each person picks a movie or book and shares the storyline. However, their description of the plot should be as terrible as possible. Everybody else should take turns trying to guess the correct movie or book based on the poor plot explanation.
